This page will help to answer some of the most commonly asked questions.

PLANNING YOUR TRIP...

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We advise all of our customers to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time.
This will allow you enough time to -
 

STEP 1: Complete a risk acknowledgement form at our Risk Acknowledgement Stations for anyone who does not already have one.

You can skip this step by completing all necessary forms online prior to arrival.


STEP 2: Check-in at the front desk.

You can speed up the time it takes to check-in by booking your tickets online prior to arrival.

PLEASE NOTE: Weekends and school holiday periods are our busiest times. We cannot guarantee spaces for walk-in customers and therefore we highly recommend booking in advance.
 

STEP 3: Receive a safety briefing from a member of our flight crew prior to entering the arena.

PLEASE NOTE: All participants MUST receive a safety briefing before they are permitted entry (even if you have visited us before). Our safety briefings begin 15 minutes prior to each scheduled session.


We are not responsible for time lost due to late arrival or lack of signed risk acknowledgement form(s).

WHAT IF I'M RUNNING LATE?

As stated in the question above 'How Early Should I Arrive?', we advise all our customers to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled flight time.

During our peak times (weekends & school holidays) we will be unable to guarantee that you receive the full time you have booked for and you will only be able to join in for the remainder of your original booking slot. 
(We cannot add extra time to the end of your session to make up for any time lost at the start)

During off-peak times we will do everything we can to give you the full time you have booked for however this will require us to reschedule your tickets to the next available session and you will be required to wait until this session begins.

We have sessions starting every 30 minutes.
(No session start time is available at 10:30am on any day or at 6:30pm on a Fri or Sat)

HOW DO I GET TO RYZE EDINBURGH?

The map at the top of this page will give you an idea of where we are. A more detailed description of how to get to us can be found in the 'Contact Us' tab at the top of the page.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE?

Customer parking is available outside of the action sports centre.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever you think is comfortable! You will be having a blast and getting a great workout so loose-fit clothing is ideal.

Please remove any jewellery, watches or belts prior to jumping, these can be stored in one of our on-site lockers.  These articles can fall off, become lost, obstruct/interfere with your jumping experience or cause damage to our trampolines and safety equipment.

(PLEASE NOTE: As RYZE is a family establishment, articles of clothing with inappropriate, vulgar or offensive language/imagery are not permitted.)
 

Gripper Socks

Customers must enter our arena either in their bare feet or wearing gripper socks.
Under no circumstances are customers permitted into the arena in regular socks or in shoes.
We recommend using gripper socks to avoid the risk of slipping when using the activities.

Jumpers are welcome to bring their own gripper socks if they have a pair. If not, they can be purchased from the check-in desk upon arrival for £2.50 per pair.
(PLEASE NOTE: Our staff may request to inspect non-Ryze gripper socks before admittance to ensure that they will provide adequate slip prevention)

 

Eye Wear

Glasses are permitted for obvious safety reasons, however, contact lenses are recommended as glasses can easily fall off while jumping.

DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS ON-SITE?

We do have closed lockers on-site to store your valuables in (i.e. phones, money, jewellery etc.) and require a £1 coin for use. We also have several open lockers available for less valuable items i.e. shoes or jackets etc. All of our lockers are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Personal property stored in our lockers are done so completely at your own risk.

We do. However, access is limited to specific areas of the facility and park arena. For more information:

BOOKING YOUR TICKETS...

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Flight Tickets

Ages 5+

A standard 1-hour flight ticket for ages 5 and over is £10.00 and is available from 11.00am onwards throughout the week and gives you access to all the activities in our park.

Extra Hour

1 hour not enough? Don’t worry. We also offer additional hours for £5.00 per hour after the initial purchase of a standard flight ticket.

KidJump (Ages 2-6)

Flight tickets for KidJump are £7.00. This session runs every morning 10.00am until 11.00am. (This is the only session available to children aged 2-4 years)

Gripper Socks

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

Age Restrictions

RYZE is available and open to everyone aged 2 and over!

Children aged 2 - 4 are only permitted into the park during our KidJump session (Ages 2-6) which is on every morning from 10.00am until 11.00am. Any session from 11.00am onwards is specifically for ages 5 and over. (See our Activities page for more details)

Weight Restrictions

The maximum user weight of our trampolines is 300lbs/21.4st/136kg.

Medical Conditions

If you are pregnant, have a medical condition that is likely to increase your risk of injury or have a pre-existing injury in the process of recovery (e.g. a broken bone) then we advise against using our facility.

Drug/Alcohol Prohibition

Individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted entry.

Risk Acknowledgement Form:

All jumpers MUST have a valid signed risk acknowledgement form before they are permitted entry into the park.

Anyone under the age of 16 must have a form signed by one of the following:

  • Parent
  • Legal Guardian
  • Responsible adult aged 21+ with the parent/legal guardian of the participant’ permission to sign on their behalf.

Risk Acknowledgement Forms can be completed in two ways:

  • eForm (valid for 12 months): Can be completed either on our website here before you arrive or at our Risk Acknowledgement Station when you arrive at the facility.
  • Paper Forms (valid for 1 admission): Can be printed out from our RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM/TICKETS page and completed prior to arrival at the facility.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

We always recommend booking in advance. It’s the smartest and easiest way to guarantee your space. 

We do accept walk-ins however Ryze has an occupancy capacity in its facilities that cannot be surpassed and so we cannot guarantee space during our peak times (weekends & school holidays).

You can pre-purchase your flight tickets and secure your space now by clicking on the 'RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM/TICKETS' link at the top of the page.

PLEASE NOTE: Flight tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable on the day of the event booked for.

If you are using a VIP Pass, Frequent Flyer Card or any discounts listed on the 'Discounts' tab of our Pricing/Hours page, these cannot be applied online. Please call us on 0131 634 0140 (Option 1) to book your tickets.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

For bookings of up to 10 people:

We will happily re-schedule or refund a booking any time up to the day before you are scheduled to arrive. Unfortunately, tickets become non-refundable and non-tranferrable on the day of your session.

If you require a refund or wish to reschedule your tickets to another day/time, please call our park on: 0131 634 0140 (Option 1)

For parties and groups of 11+ people:

Payment for Parties and Large Group Events will be given a full refund on cancellations made more than a week in advance. A payment becomes non-refundable within 7 days of the event.

To re-schedule or refund parties or large group events please contact our Events Coordinator on 0131 634 0140 (Option 2).
 

PLEASE NOTE: We will not refund tickets in your booking for jumpers that do not turn up on the day of the event.

WHO HAS TO SIGN A RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM?

Participants

Anyone who wishes to enter the park arena MUST have a valid signed risk acknowledgement form before they are permitted entry.

  • Their Parent
  • Their Legal Guardian
  • A Responsible adult (aged 21+) with the parent/legal guardian of the participant’s permission to sign on their behalf.

Spectators

Spectators are not permitted into the park arena and therefore do not require a risk acknowledgement form for themselves.

DURING YOUR VISIT...

WHAT MANEOUVRES ARE RESTRICTED?

It is important that you only move safely and jump within your own abilities and skill level. However only you know what that is. If you think that a manoeuvre is too scary and/or dangerous to try, then it probably is and should not be attempted.

What manoeuvres are not allowed at RYZE?

- No double or triple flips are permitted even if you are capable.
- No diving head first.
- No ‘Gainers’:

gainer is defined as the acrobatic trick of performing a backwards somersault while still moving forward. It is also referred to as a ‘reverse rotation’.

CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINK INTO THE ARENA?

No. We do not allow any food, drink or chewing gum into the main park arena. We have an on-site café and vending machines if you want some R&R after your session and a free water fountain to keep you hydrated during your session.

ARE CUSTOMERS MONITORED WHILE THEY ARE IN THE ARENA?

Our fully trained Flight Crew members are stationed throughout the park overseeing all areas of our facility, ensuring that jumpers are safe and that our safety rules are being adhered to so that everyone can get the most out of their experience here. Our flight crew are also on hand to assist with any injuries that may occur.

I JUST WANT TO WATCH MY FRIENDS/FAMILY. CAN I?

You don’t have to take part if you don’t want to. If you just want to watch your family/friends, then you can relax in our on-site café upstairs and lounge with a cup of coffee and free Wi-Fi. The café doubles as a viewing platform to allow you to observe without having to purchase a flight ticket.

No spectators are permitted into the park arena and are restricted to the café and lobby areas.


Supervising Adults Exception:

The only exception to this is when you are bringing children aged 2-6 years along to either our KidJump session (10.00am-11.00am) or to our KidZone area (11.00am - 9.00pm). KidJump and KidZone are only accessible to kids aged 2-6 and this session/area requires a supervising adult to be physically present at all times.(We require at least 1 adult to every 2 children minimum).
PLEASE NOTE: Supervising Adult(s) are not permitted to bounce on the trampolines during this session.

IS TRAMPOLINING DANGEROUS?

RYZE employs the latest technology and safety engineering in an effort to make your jumping experience as safe as possible. Like any other vigorous and physical sporting activity, injuries can and do occur. However, these are rare and usually quite minor. A recent study of trampoline parks across the U.S. found an injury incident rate of 0.02%, with the most common injuries being trampoline burns and bruises. Trampoline Parks have a better safety rate than any competitive sport. Follow our safety rules and the chances of injury are even less.

WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY?

We do not share customer card details nor do we share customer’s personal details with any 3rd parties.

WHAT IS YOUR LOST PROPERTY POLICY?

Ryze cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property in the park.

We will do our best to ensure that any items lost or found are reunited with their owner.

As storage facilities are limited we can only hold on to lost:

  • Articles of clothing for a maximum of 30 days.
  • Valuables (e.g. mobile phones) for a maximum of 6 months.

If you have lost property at the park, please contact the park using the details at the top of this page or leaving us a comment in the comment box to the left and let us know. Please provide us with a detailed description of the property, being sure to note any unique attribute or identify features along with the date of loss.
